GETTING INVOLVED ON CAMPUS

Yankee volunteers and supporters are needed:
No matter what grade or program your child is in we NEED your help! The HBC has two very large events coming up this year and we need families to get involved. The following HBC sponsored events will be covered in detail at our upcoming February 1st association meeting, beginning at 6:30 in the library.  We hope to see you all there!

HAMIFEST 2012

Do you have or know of a business that might make a donation for our HamiFest event? Would you like to obtain a booth spot for your business? Please send an email to ahhsboosterclub1@gmail.com to receive a copy of our Sponsor information packet.

Alumni we need you to spread the word!  We challenge all Hamilton High alumni to reach out to other graduates and make this the best attended Hamilton event ever!  Spread the word, we are counting on you.

SENIOR AWARDS 2012
Scheduled for the evening of June 7th, 2012. It takes a considerable amount of work to put on each year. Please sign up to volunteer! It is especially helpful to have support from junior, sophomore and freshman families so that current senior families can attend the event AND so that the planning process is shared with new parents.

Other ways to get involved on campus:
Sign up for the Career Day Symposium!  Professionals from all fields are needed to provide useful information for Hami students.  For more information please email Mr. Scott Maxson at: sem66141@lausd.net. Set-up volunteers are also needed for this event.

Sign up to help with the 2012 Prom or other senior activities with Ms. Garza; call and leave a message for her at 310-281-1400.

Can you dedicate a few hours each month?  Please call the front office and volunteer.  There are always projects going on that would benefit from your support and time. Call the front office at 310-281-1400

Support the PTSA School Supply Drive with a donation of copy paper, tissue, alcohol-free hand sanitizers, liquid hand soap, dry erase pens and paper towels.

Hamilton would appreciate donations of very gently used or new furniture! Currently needed are:
  • Chairs for the Main Office Lobby
  • Couches, sofa chairs, coffee table, board games, etc. for our UCLA After-School program.
Contact Principal Garcia at gary.p.garcia@lausd.net to make these donations
  • Sign up for a Yankee “Spring Cleaning” school beautification! Date to be announced.

HAMILTON ALUMNI - UNITE!

Are you a former Yankee?  Please check out the only “official” alumni association for the Alexander Hamilton HS community!  This wonderful group has provided financial assistance to the school and awards thousands of dollars in scholarships to graduating seniors.  Please check the website out!   Accept no substitutes, visit: www.hamihighalumni.org.
